Abandoned

A dropped little toy...perhaps a friend lost?

I am not sure why this pulls my heart strings... Did the child that dropped this look for it later...sad it went missing? Or does this child have so many little toys that they never realized it's gone?

A quirky little smile
Big hopeful eyes
Covered in dirt
Will it be picked up
Before it's thrown in the garbage?

  3. Lost toys or toys taped to the front of cars or trucks always seem to sadden me, because I've seen the movie toy story and know they can talk.
She's too cute to be abandoned

  5. Your post made me smile - maybe because my kids have too many of these little things and I wish a few Polly Pockets would end up like this. Like your capture and the framing.

  6. Wonderful capture of her dirt-streaked, abnormally large face! If it's anything like my grandkids' houses, there are about a million of these little things stuffed into every crevice! :)

  7. "Too many toys to be missed" is more likely what happened...Strange little thing but those big eyes just scream out at you!
    Nice abandonment!

  14. I have lost little trinkets in my life that I held dear. I always wondered where they went. You never know who loved this once.

  17. Oh, I know what the repercussions are if this was a special toy never to be found by that heart which adored it so...fabulous photo.
