abandoned. that void you feel deep inside when you lose a loved one. can't touch, hug or kiss. anymore. can't feel the warmth of their loving embrace. anymore. simply gone. and it's even more evident around the holidays.
Your use of black and white for this topic adds another layer to the feeling of abandonment...all the color seems to have gone out of life when you are feeling that way.

Se'lah. I lost my Dad this year. Your words are so true. Love the photo and yes it feels sometimes like there is no color, until you find your way again. Very touching.
