My abandoned Studio...
When we moved into our home 3 years ago...everything went into the basement. I organised my "SPACE" down there and called it my "STUDIO"...BUT, I have abandoned my studio since then. Now I paint in other peoples houses and I store paints downstairs, and yet, this has been one of my most productive years since moving here to Canada.
This winter there will be a transformation hopefully, wires which are hanging from the ceiling will be tucked away, shelves will be
functional...I will have room to unpack all 7 boxes FULL of art books(which I haven't had time to read...but love to look at and through)...my husband has promised to create and build a studio for me...thank you darling partner. It will feel good not to have guilt strike through my body
every time I enter my "Space".
build the studio.... you will be so happy to have your own creative space :)
ReplyDeleteOh - it's full of promise! How wonderful to have such a sweet man...
ReplyDeleteOh, that's wonderful you'll be able to have all your supplies and books in order! Order is good for creating!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely good for creating...I have order upstairs...and have my sewing supplies and other Art materials such as sketching and watercolours upstairs...so I work around my girls.I SO look forward to having my SPACE though!
ReplyDeleteYour space, you will feel great to have it back, I like that you used it for abandoned...It will be like Christmas when you go through all you things. Take care.
ReplyDeleteLove the studio and that you will get back to it this year. One of the things that I loved when I moved was getting a room for my "art stuff" as my brother calls it.
ReplyDeleteA great place to have. Please do not abandon it for long! Art is good!
ReplyDeleteoh a perfect interpretation of the theme...it is hopeful. many times we abandon things temporarily I am glad this is!
ReplyDelete:-) I SO understand this one! Won't it be fantastic to get a real working space soon! Great take on the theme.
ReplyDeletethat kind of happens to studios doesn't it....fortunately mine lets me still come and visit every now and then and doesn't hold any grudges....
ReplyDeletei have a similar abandoned art space. reclaim it!
ReplyDeletei went through my abandoned art and recaptured it for my daughter now taking art.
Wonderful goal. It will happen. It's funny how we have abandoned space we haven't thought about...you just reminded me of my scrapbook room. It was once a busy zone, and has been sorely neglected as my work life takes over. Time to rethink my time!
ReplyDeletean abandoned space reclaimed. how exciting.
ReplyDeletewill we see the 'after' shot?
Good for you! That sounds like fun reclaiming your abandoned space...a wonderful goal!
