adandoned field of fireflies

"........strike up the band, make the fireflies dance...........silver moon sparkling....so kiss me....."
~the cranberries

in my town, a romantic summer evening consists of a band outdoors, barefeet in tall grass, stars that stretch for miles and fireflies who frolic in abandoned fields.

it's bittersweet to watch summer go. but heavenly to think of all the warm apple cider and chilly nights to come ;)

    We don't have fireflies in Australia, wish we did. But don't you just love the change of seasons, going from the heat to the cool of Autumn, to frosty winters. The change of food, colour, smells, I love a changing world

    We have fireflies about an hour north of us...this picture is stunning!
