I live here, in a small house that my father built with his own two hands,
where my grandfather's clock holds pride of place on the mantel,
and the morning light is a blessing.
Here are my mother's curtains, my aunt's mirror,
and my grandmother's coal scuttle.
Books are piled on the floor, and a woolen throw lays ready to warm the morning air.
Here is where I dream,
where I hug my children and kiss my husband before the roaring fire.
My little red house.
I live here.
oh mary - so beautiful - so very beautiful
