When I was a kid, I used to put up with the cake just for the frosting.
Now I push aside most of the frosting to get to the cake.
Although this frosting was delicious.
It was that whipped cream kind of frosting.
But I left it behind anyway...
Sometimes you have to know when to say when.

ReplyDeletenever been an icing fan, though it does make a cake look pretty and elegant.
i was the girl that would carefully cut off the roses on a buttercream cake to freeze them and savor them later. i still love a good buttercream.

I'm the cake person who ALWAYS abandons the icing ... except for a really perfect buttercream, the kind you seldom find. This is a great shot!

ReplyDeleteIf it had been chocolate icing I would not have been able to abandon that. Buttercream isn't so hard for me to leave behind. I'm not really a fan of it.
