Every year my kids and grandkids and I get together and make gingerbread houses (out of graham crackers). We make a mess. We have fun. We make multiple batches of royal icing. We've burnt up mixers. There is competition. There is laughter. We're together. It is one of our traditions.
Stevie, this is a wonderful picture! Your granddaughters look so focused and intent on getting it right! So cute! I really need to do this with my grandkids...just need to find the patience! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan you don't need patience....you need a big broom for the clean up afterward!
ReplyDeleteThe parents are always there too and everyone chips in on the clean up so it turns out fine.
I made one once- took all day, then it collapsed! We had to stick it together with cocktail sticks!
ReplyDeletethis looks so much fun and you get to sneak a few treats while you're working too.
ReplyDeletesounds like such a great time!
ReplyDeletethis sounds like a lot of fun, such a great tradition to carry on.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute pair, and a GREAT family tradition that I'm sure you will all treasure.

ReplyDeleteI hope I live long enough to have this experience with grandchildren! It looks like the most delightful experience!
