While walking around my yard
the other day
I came across the
holiday colors
All together in one lens
was the vibrant red
of the holiday berries
the green of the pine boughs
the white of the snow
I know some people
will make a trip to
the craft store
to purchase holly berries
and get extra
pine boughs from
the Christmas tree lot
and then spray
all this with fake snow
or shiny tinsel
hung loosely from the boughs
I feel blessed
to have nature
give me these
holiday colors
right in my front yard
every year
Now I have to go
SHOVEL MORE SNOW
