sometimes the simple acts in life are the most extraordinary.
the flour, yeast, salt and warm water that make extraordinary bread.
the everyday acts of packing a lunch, tossing in another load of laundry and cooking soup make for extraordinary care.
i often ponder if i have an extraordinary life, something i long for.
but the truth is, because of love it is extraordinary.
not glamorous or enviable but extraordinary indeed.
Home life is extraordinary...oh yeah! :)
ReplyDeleteyes nicole..you have the right idea here!

ReplyDeletei so agree with your thoughts...and i thought about the song by carbon leaf. 'live a life extraordinary'
ReplyDeleteThat we have the privilege of enjoying these simple things every day is extraordinary to a lot of the world. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteYour post reminds me of a book by John Cabot Zinn, Where Ever You Go There You Are. He writes a passage similar to yours involving cleaning the stove. Grounding and enlightening. Beautiful bowl by the way!
ReplyDeleteHomemade bread alone is extraordinary!...I love the simple things in home life...
