Love = Letting Go

Today our almost 21 year stuffed his compact car with the things he couldn't live without and headed to friends three hours away. With his disintegrated muffler puttering down the street he, his xbox and an old box fan are on their own. The icons of his childhood are left behind, frozen on a shelf. I'd like to say his transition went without conflict but sometimes life just isn't perfectly clear when it's time to move on. After emotions and words were thrown about, the air cleared and a new gentler perspective rose out of the frustration. It is a good day. Especially for Tyler.

  2. It's a tough time, I know. Just part of the process I guess, but hard still the same. The good news, it always works out. Good luck to you and Tyler

  3. oh dear, it is a tough time and your photo just speaks volumes. I slid down the wall and cried for days when my twins went on anoverseas jaunt for a year, it took months to actually enjoy the empty nest. Now they are back and yes I love it but I enjoyed the freedom of just being two also.
