Abandoned

I can never resist abandoned boats.
I came across this one
- with weeds growing inside
and the ruins of traditional thatched hut in the background -
on a walk by the beach
at dusk several months ago.

  4. I love the color...it is so natural...and I wonder what the story is behind these once very useful things - tragedy most likely...

  5. It looks like they both fell into ruin around the same time as if the owner just walked away one day. Sad.

  10. This looks so primitive, like it's from another time. Like nothing I've ever seen. Nice find, indeed!

  12. Wow, this is a great shot! The juxtaposition of the old building beside the shell of a boat...on land...is really interesting. And the thached roof that is rotting away...the whole thing shouts abandonment!
