Forever




Closed.
FOREVER.
Have a nice day.

My favorite health food store.
Still empty.
A sunny chime still hangs in the door.
Piles of books fill a grocery cart in the window.
The lavender out front still thrives -- it blooms and spills unchecked out onto the sidewalk.
Abandoned.

    I love the big cumulonimbus in the reflection. Like there's a storm coming. And with the wind chime in the middle of the cloud? Brilliant!

    How sad, and such a sign of the times. I love the slightly stormy look to the cloud in the reflection. Great post, even though it carries a sad message.

    Char, I didn't think to pick some lavender. I just may have to go back tomorrow and do just that! And the storm DID come about an hour or so after this was shot. Lovely thunder and lightening and then it all blew away...

    That is sad for you and the owners. I can imagine this sign being written with a heavy heart. Another casualty of the Economic Crisis, I am guessing.
