There's an abandoned house beyond those flowers, she wouldn't have hesitated to explore - she would have gone forth with total abandon. Me... I abandoned the very idea of it because I was alone.

I love the point of view you give us in this photograph. Simply beautiful.
ReplyDeletegreat contrast - beautiful depth to the shot and i love the falling light.
ReplyDeleteWell, it looks like you didn't need to go beyond the flowers to get the shot... this is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI think it is perfect too. Stunning.
ReplyDeleteTo me there is nothing worse than an abandoned house. A place where so many memories were created or not, but either way a place which was so important to the people who lived there once and now, worth nothing to someone else... kinda sad! Nice photograph - and blog!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou captured this abandoned house for a beautiful view point. I think I night have been a little braver and gotten close just to get some more photos. It's strange as to me the thought of a good shot can help me over come a few fears. That being said I wouldn't have ventured in the house if I were all by myself.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot.
Your photo pulls me to that house...I'll explore with you in a heartbeat! There's a wonderful story here.
ReplyDeleteI love this shot and don't blame you...if I was alone I wouldn't venture.
ReplyDeleteawe... this is such a beautiful shot!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend ~~

Wonderful perspective....just a hint of what lies beyond the beautiful flowers. Nice touch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo...I love abandoned houses!
ReplyDeletei love how you get just a peek of the presence of the house. so mysterious and unfocused. i don't blame you for not going close. the abandoned barn in my post a few down was taken only because my hubbie was willing to accompany me. even with him by my side i was a bit creeped out.
ReplyDeletetake care and happy shooting!
Your words add so much weight to an already mesmerizing image...

the composition is great in this photo - the flowers in the foreground seemingly taking over in importance to the abandoned house.
ReplyDeletethe mood was perfect in this shot...good decision too...
ReplyDeleteI would have gone with you...I do it all the time :)
ReplyDeleteSo many times I've chickened out from going into an abandoned location, this is a great shot.
ReplyDelete...Just this afternoon I chickened out from going on a photoshoot in my neighborhood junkyard with my husband...I know that feeling well...but you got the perfect shot from a distance...and safely:)
ReplyDeleteYour words, as always, make the image complete. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous image....i love old, abandoned houses, too!
ReplyDeleteI love the shot. It's beautiful. I laugh at myself because I have settled too often on drive by shootings of great subjects because I am too much of a chicken to get out of the car.
ReplyDeletei did venture a little closer but a very angry crow in the old oak tree seemed to be telling me to stay away.
