Home Sweet Home

Where the Heart Is
~ c. Sandy K. at Through the Lens

Not one place,
But a sensory experience -
Michigan.
Where water meets the shore
And trees blow gently in the breeze.
Where surf can be loud and boisterous,
or quiet and gentle.
Where thunder can create an echo
heard miles away.
Where friends and family gather,
and my heart sings.
Where I live is in my heart,
and travels with me.
Home is where my heart is,
and my love.

  7. Gorgeous! I'm a new fan of Michigan, having gone there twice this year to meet up with blog friends. The second time with two at one's lake cottage. It was sublime!

  17. Thank you for your kind words, everyone:). Every time we talk about moving, we get pulled back by a person, place, idea or event. We adore the state, and all it has to offer, 3 seasons of the year. Though it's beautifully in it's frozen beauty, we just can't handle the cold any more. But...we're still here:).
