magic

there is a special magic that abandoned objects have - a beauty and grace. as they sit there beckoning us to explore further. i wonder, how did this end up here - forgetfulness, tragedy, what happened?

in some cases - they were found to be no longer useful. but i think they were wrong - they inspire daydreams, curiosity, painters, photographers, adventure.

  3. Wonderful picture. It seems that abandoned objects call out to be found and appreciated once more. Maybe it's the power of rust and the earth's magnetism working together to steer creative types their way. Glad you found it.

  8. Oh wow! I love this photo completely! Where did you find this, and what, exactly, is it? It draws you right in and you just want to make up a story about it, even though you know that you could never top the REAL story...

  10. this is a railroad car at the railroad museum - but the place always has a sense of abandonment to me as the cars are rusted and in some cases burnt out. but i wonder about the people that rode in the car, where were they going, what were their dreams?

Is there a history behind that particular railroad line?
