Childhood passion

Stuffed animals!  Oh these stuffed friends kept me company throughout my childhood.  They were my best friends, confidants, play mates and soul mates. I really believed they were real (even when I was 12).  As an adult, I still love them...and my kids seem to have this passion too.  My oldest has so many in her bed, I am surprised she can sleep in there!  But these stuffed friends provide such comfort and love.  And sometimes it seems only they can understand our deepest fears and sorrows.

  1. I'm kind of jealous. Because of allergies and illness, I wasn't allowed to have a single stuffed animal as a child -- or carpet or curtains. They attract dust!

Cute picture :) If I look at it just right, he does look real...

  5. My eldest daughter has about 100 teddy bears all shapes and sizes, she married 3 years ago and her husband thought she would just throw them out when she left home....nearly ended the marrieage before it began. She will never throw them out and my eldest twin has the rattiest bunny you have ever seen. My mum gave it to her 18 years ago and we have stitched it and washed it and she still has it on her bed. Sweet memories thanks

My sons have storage boxes full...too many to have out at one time. We have rotate them out. They each EACH have a name and a personality and they remember them all...

  10. I saw the sweetest pink stuffed pig the other day and actually had to talk myself out of buying it. I don't think we ever grow out of our love for soft cuddly things, do you?
