I have a nice big window in my office with an amazing view up on the 18th floor. I have to say I spend a lot of time looking out that window – finding bunnies in the clouds, checking the traffic situation, watching the fog lift, seeing groups of friends walking to various lunch destinations, observing the dogs in training at the fire station, marveling at the trees bursting with autumn color, being struck by God's creation in the beauty of the ever changing cloud formations and the awesome brilliance of the setting sun or the moonlit sky. And yes, sometimes I just stare and daydream out that window – into that vast world out there with infinite possibilities, hoping if a window of opportunity comes my way I won't pull the shade down.
wow. you do have a lovely view
ReplyDeletebeautiful view!!! definitely a place for many a daydream
ReplyDeleteI love the binoculars sitting there and ready for action! I would never get anything done with a view like that!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, how do you ever get anything done but stare out that window?!! I can just imagine watching the changing of the seasons from that viewpoint...amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt's a miracle you get any work done! I would be agog all day. What a vista! :)
ReplyDeleteIncredible view and especially at this time of year! I too love the binoculars sitting there.
ReplyDeleteNicely done!
the binoculars are a nice touch.
ReplyDeletethis view makes taking the elevator every day worthwhile!
I so loved the colors in this photo, and yes the binoculars added a wonderful touch, Theres a whole world out there isn't there. Love the photo and your story.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine that the tediousness of life at your desk gets a sense of balance brought to it as soon as you turn and look out at that view. What a gift.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I would spend far too much time at this window, solving the problems of the world as I daydreamed. What a great view, especially with the changing seasons. For much of the 21 years that I was a forensic nurse with the city and county of San Francisco, we were in a basement which people referred to as the "dungeon." That is certainly what it felt like!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful scene....lots of daydreaming and taking in of beauty!
ReplyDeleteNow get back to work! hahaha
Love this photo...
you are blessed to have this special place at your job...a very wonderful perk!!
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous view -- so full of possibilities!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I admit it....I'm jealous!
