Kodi never takes her eye off of 'that dog'. Evee acts like 'the cat' is not even there. But I fear if I left them together it would become a tale of the Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat. Do you remember that poem, The Duel ?
- The gingham dog and the calico cat
- Side by side on the table sat;
- 'Twas half-past twelve, and (what do you think!)
- Nor one nor t'other had slept a wink!
- The old Dutch clock and the Chinese plate
- Appeared to know as sure as fate
- There was going to be a terrible spat.....
they look very interested in the lights
ReplyDeleteI just love this picture. lovely how the dog is looking at the tree. Have a happy holiday season.
ReplyDeleteHe's looking at the tree but I suspect he knows exactly where kitty is every minute!!
ReplyDeleteoh i had forgotten that poem, this is a very sweet image...
ReplyDeleteI never heard this poem before, what a sheltered life! My cat and dog get along famously. They reversed their personalities. Sasha, the cat is the vocal one of the two. Isabel, the greyhound never says anything. The two of them are a comic team.
ReplyDeleteawe that look in kitty's eye...
ReplyDeleteit would so adorable!
ReplyDeletecute shot
The lighting in the photo gives it a comfortable atmosphere. What a funny story about your dog and cat. You'd think the cat would stay away from the dog if he didn't trust her.
ReplyDeleteRemember the poem well ... cozy picture.
ReplyDeletesteviewren, funny thing is, it's the cat that can't be trusted. the dog seems to have forgotten the incident.
ReplyDeleteThat cat is SO not gonna curl up with any dog...terrific moment you caught here!
