Togetherness

Kodi never takes her eye off of 'that dog'. Evee acts like 'the cat' is not even there. But I fear if I left them together it would become a tale of the Gingham Dog and the Calico Cat. Do you remember that poem, The Duel ?
The gingham dog and the calico cat
Side by side on the table sat;
'Twas half-past twelve, and (what do you think!)
Nor one nor t'other had slept a wink!
The old Dutch clock and the Chinese plate
Appeared to know as sure as fate
There was going to be a terrible spat.....
Then again if I did leave them together, maybe I would find them sleeping side by side, all peaceful and sweet - wouldn't that be the cutest thing ever?

  5. I never heard this poem before, what a sheltered life! My cat and dog get along famously. They reversed their personalities. Sasha, the cat is the vocal one of the two. Isabel, the greyhound never says anything. The two of them are a comic team.

  7. The lighting in the photo gives it a comfortable atmosphere. What a funny story about your dog and cat. You'd think the cat would stay away from the dog if he didn't trust her.
