1. a feature that mars the perfection of something; defect; fault: beauty without flaw; the flaws in our plan.
2. a defect impairing legal soundness or validity.
3. a crack, break, breach, or rent.
–verb (used with object)
4. to produce a flaw in.
–verb (used without object)
5. to contract a flaw; become cracked or defective.

The cracks in our dinner table are long, deep and wide. They grow a little longer every year.
I would never swap our table for nice new one because I love the flaw. It has character and it's not perfect.
I don't know why it is easy for me to find a flaw in anything or anyone and turn it into a strength, yet I can't do this to myself. I am constantly trying to hide my flaws either under the skin or very much on top.
I hope one day I can embrace my flaws.
Welcome to a new week. :)

  1. I love the colors and tables look wonderful with flaws, the hours a family sits around them, looking forward to the theme this week.

  2. sometimes it's the flaws, or imperfections, that make things, even people, the most beautiful.

  3. oh this is beautiful! a mark of character! i love flaws :) the table looks gorgeous! the colors are also really pretty

  4. there is a song that i love that says something like we are all broken in the most beautiful places

  5. There is so much beauty found in things that are the opposite of pretty.

  6. a wonderful way to really see .

  7. There is an old Indian saying, Flaws are the sections of an object/person from which the soul can fly. Love your story bet the table has so many great memories.

  8. a nice idea for this weeks post. flawed and with faults yep that's all of us and we all try and hide them you are right. the table has stories to tell i bet.

  9. The really nice thing about having a dinner table that's already don't have to worry about it getting damaged and you can just enjoy the time you spend sitting around it as a family.
