flaw

flaw
–noun
1. a feature that mars the perfection of something; defect; fault: beauty without flaw; the flaws in our plan.
2. a defect impairing legal soundness or validity.
3. a crack, break, breach, or rent.
–verb (used with object)
4. to produce a flaw in.
–verb (used without object)
5. to contract a flaw; become cracked or defective.

The cracks in our dinner table are long, deep and wide. They grow a little longer every year.
I would never swap our table for nice new one because I love the flaw. It has character and it's not perfect.
I don't know why it is easy for me to find a flaw in anything or anyone and turn it into a strength, yet I can't do this to myself. I am constantly trying to hide my flaws either under the skin or very much on top.
I hope one day I can embrace my flaws.
Welcome to a new week. :)

  1. I love the colors and tables look wonderful with flaws, the hours a family sits around them, looking forward to the theme this week.

  9. The really nice thing about having a dinner table that's already flawed...you don't have to worry about it getting damaged and you can just enjoy the time you spend sitting around it as a family.
