self portrait
photobooth
Is it true? we are what we think. I believe there is beauty in each and every one of us. Sometimes I just have a hard time seeing it in myself. There is power in the mind. Believing. I believe? I believe.
I like this image, you are so confident, focused- I am not a big fan of being on the other side of the lens- finding the courage to take a picture of myself.
When I look in the mirror I feel I look reasonable but when I see a picture of my self I hate it. Yet when I see a picture of my self I find it difficult to see any beauty, yet I find to so easy to look at other and see lovely things.
it's so hard to love what we see in ourselves...as if it's a curse of some kind that was bestowed upon us at ohhhh, I don't know, about 14 maybe and it's just not fair....
I have worked soooooo hard to love what I see in the morning...and I'm not sure I'd call it love, but am I liking that girl looking back at me a little more each day....
and I love this photo of you.....and I love photobooth
i think it very hard to love ourself, especially since the mirror is rarely where we perceive our truest self. this is very well done. love the processing.
mirrors are hard...and maybe this week we're learning the camera is too. but i just think that everyone who has posted a picture is so lovely, honest and real. some people posted their whole face because that's what they are comfortable with. others didn't because maybe they just aren't ready. but the truth is, that no matter what we do here we're all going to embrace each other because that's what friends do. it's often easier to accept others than to accept ourselves. i'm glad that you were able to share you here.
yes...the thinking can get a little cloudy for me...anyway, this is a fun way to add fun to your shot!
ReplyDeleteSo true... i see determination in your eyes...
ReplyDeleteI think we all have a hard time seeing it in ourselves. I know I do. Like marinik said, I see the determination in your eyes.

ReplyDeleteI think believing is the key too

Believe! You are beautiful! Love your honesty. Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteI think we all struggle with believing in ourselves and we're always the last to see the truth about us that everyone else sees so easily.
ReplyDeleteEven through Photobooth I see amazingly beautiful eyes here!
thank you all, so much, for the sweet and kind comments. : )
