this old bowl is a find from a walk in the woods one day this winter. is is more than flawed...it is broken. but you can see how beautiful it was...the soft lovely color and the design which looks like trees to me. i have been meaning to go back and look for more pieces, but with our recent winter weather, i haven't make the trek. maybe this spring...
My favorite bowl!!!! I have the same one. Actually, I've had two of them. The first was my grandmother's. My kids accidentally broke it and my heart along with it. Later the same year, I found another in an antique store in Ohio. I bought it of course and now call it Grandmother's bowl.
ReplyDeleteIt was made by Homer Laughlin the same company that makes Fiestaware. The pattern for the mixing bowl is Orange Tree.
