where i live....

Melbourne, Australia is where I live.
I could've picked a beauty shot of our city, but to me, this is what my home is all about.
Old buildings, cold climate, green trees, big sky, platform stations, with my favourite transport - the train, carving a path to the city.

  5. Toni, beautiful shot! I really love how this photo is tall... makes me feel like those tracks are just heading off into the distance of your home! When I was contemplating how I would share "my home" I actually considered tracks as well... They are such a part of my life and also my true love when it comes to transit!

  6. i was in melbourne for a fortnight's holiday in 2000 - the temperature was above 40 degrees celcius for the whole fortnight. hated the heat, but loved the city.

  7. Lovely treatment...it makes the tracks seem grittier as it usually is around lots of railway tracks.

  9. Oh what a gorgeous photo! Australia seems like such a beautiful, wild and magical place. I would love to see it someday... but unfortunately the closest I'll ever get will probably be the Outback Steakhouse. :)

  18. Super photo! Like your processing and the reality of it. Also like how all the power lines and track lines pull your eye into the photograph. Very cool.
