Abandoned.

My father died in May and left behind his longtime friend, Buster. No matter where my father went, Buster was always around. The two were inseparable, I know Buster still searches and looks for him everyday, not understanding why he is not to be found. Does he feel abandoned? I think so, he laid in one spot for about 5 days, he searches every inch of that farm, still looking and looking and ....

  2. You brought tears to my eyes. So sorry about your dad, and for Poor Buster... they really do know, don't they.
This is a great doggie shot, though. Buster has a great grin! :-)

  5. ohhhh, poor thing. I'm sorry he's still missing him - but to me, I know I miss my dad and it's been nine years so it makes sense as loyal as dogs are that Buster misses your dad too.

    sweet portrait.

  9. Buster is beautiful! It took my Golden about three months to get over losing her "brother", a mutt, she was raised with. Hard to see someone else grieve...

  20. I'm so sorry for the loss both you and Buster have had this year Cinner. It's so very hard to lose our parents no matter how old we are or how long they lived. In our hearts we will always be their little girl or boy.
