What a priceless treasure, Diahn! And how lucky you are to have known both your grandmother and your great-grandmother. I only knew my maternal grandmother and I only had her until I was 8. All the rest of my grandparents were gone before I was born.
Diahn, I clicked on the blank picture and it took me straight to your flickr photos. I love the stitching on the edge. Quilts are such personal keepsakes. So much love was poured into the making of each one.
i can't see the photo now but i remember seeing it earlier. what a beautiful treasure you have. i remember growing up, lying under a quilt that my grandmother made, studying all the fabrics she had used, remembering them in dresses I had seen her wear. it was a wonderful sailboat pattern and it put me to sleep, peacefully so many nights.
