abandoned

There's an abandoned house beyond those flowers, she wouldn't have hesitated to explore - she would have gone forth with total abandon. Me... I abandoned the very idea of it because I was alone.

  3. Well, it looks like you didn't need to go beyond the flowers to get the shot... this is perfect!

  5. To me there is nothing worse than an abandoned house. A place where so many memories were created or not, but either way a place which was so important to the people who lived there once and now, worth nothing to someone else... kinda sad! Nice photograph - and blog!!!!

  6. you captured this abandoned house for a beautiful view point. I think I night have been a little braver and gotten close just to get some more photos. It's strange as to me the thought of a good shot can help me over come a few fears. That being said I wouldn't have ventured in the house if I were all by myself.

    Lovely shot.

  12. i love how you get just a peek of the presence of the house. so mysterious and unfocused. i don't blame you for not going close. the abandoned barn in my post a few down was taken only because my hubbie was willing to accompany me. even with him by my side i was a bit creeped out.

    take care and happy shooting!

  14. the composition is great in this photo - the flowers in the foreground seemingly taking over in importance to the abandoned house.

  21. I love the shot. It's beautiful. I laugh at myself because I have settled too often on drive by shootings of great subjects because I am too much of a chicken to get out of the car.
